0:01 Alright, let's talk about email services. So email services in this context is whenever the, whenever the system sends out an email, so it could be an appointment reminder email saying how your appointment is coming up, you know, tomorrow or it could be as part of the automations that we can set up,
0:20 you know, if someone opts into something and we can send them out an email that has a PDF or, like, just a hello or if we've got a, let me take another example.
0:29 If we're sending out like a month or a weekly email campaigns, so say we've got a bulk email that we want to send out to all of our clients or all of our all of our list, that's all going to be sent from a mail server.
0:42 Now by default, the mail server that's set up is my mail server, which is mail.brokeros.com.au. You're more than welcome to keep on using my mail server.
0:51 It's got a pretty good reputation. It's still relatively new. It hasn't been flaked by any spam filters or anything. So hopefully most of the emails that you send that will actually land in and in box.
1:03 And the way that actually displays is, if you're sending an email out on the form address, you can send it up so that it's from, let's say, Alex Brownville, so it'll be from, it'll be the, the, the, the, the sender will but we'll display as Alex Brownville, but then once you click on the email and you
1:22 go into it, it'll save via mail.brokeros.com that I use. So you, you, you will have sent this sort of thing before.
1:28 If you're with mercury or connective, for example, I'm just sending something from the mercury system. If you don't have your E9 integration set up properly, then it'll send from mercury's mail server.
1:39 And it still helps us come from you, but it's actually come from a third party, which it says in the email itself.
1:44 Sometimes that can get picked up with spam loss. So a better thing to do is to actually create your own dedicated domain.
1:51 And then if you're sending up huge volumes of emails, which I don't think any of the brokers on this platform probably ever will, unless you're like, your own lens or something.
1:59 You'll actually then want to go even a step further and create your own IP address to send everything from. But what I'd recommend, if you've got the know how to do it, is to actually create a dedicated domain.
2:09 So on this page, when you click it, you're going to come up with create a dedicated domain here. Now, I'm just going to show you mine, because mine's already set up with Voyage Financial, you'll see that we've set up a sub-domain called comms.voyagefinancial.com that I use.
2:23 So, we've taken the root domain and then we've added the sub-domain, which is comms. Now if you don't know how to do this, if you have no idea what I'm talking about, you either need to get in contact with the company that set your set everything up for you and has all your web hosting and domain hosting
2:42 and they'll be able to do it. If you don't know who that is, then get in contact with us because I don't know how to do this.
2:48 My team has had to do this and we can actually start to manage your posting your domain hosting or email hosting like all those bits and bases you can actually just bring on board with us and we'll just manage the whole lot for you.
2:58 So at least then you know that everything is in one place and being managed by someone who you trust and is competent.
3:04 So if you know how to do this you'll just need to click on if you click on this here create a dedicated domain.
3:13 It should lead us this here. So this needs to say just like it says with me
comms.voyagefinancial.com.au so you need to take the root domain of your website and then just add whatever it is.
3:30 We if you use comms you're welcome to use communication or it could be literally anything you want. But you then need to go into your DNS records with wherever your domain is actually hosted and you need to add it there and then that will set this up.
3:44 So it's pretty simple to do. You just need to get set the DNS records up. I think you need to point it at, you just follow this process and it should, it should tell you exactly what to do.
3:55 But again, if you don't know what to do, then just email me and let me know and we'll get a sort of out for you.
4:00 Also, I'm going to take it. Once that's then set up, you can then come into reply and forward settings. don't know why you failed.
4:11 Get really here. So you should then say, okay, I just had to start down half the programs on my laptop because it was getting too hot.
4:22 So if we're going to reply and forward settings, you should say you should be able to add, this is what I recommend you add.
4:28 So when someone replies, you want them obviously to reply to someone. So for us, we've got an inquiries, that voyage for an actual.com.au, that's an actual shed in box that we've up easy to do.
4:39 So I'd recommend if you've got a team setting it back to like a shared inbox so that multiple people can read it and deal with it.
4:46 If it is just you then obviously just replying coming straight back to you is totally fine. I won't bother going to email analytics and risk assessment.
4:57 The other thing that I'd mention is that if you really up your email delivery ability as well is to come on.
5:07 Okay, my laptop's finally starting to cool down. The last thing that I've recommended here is if you've got the skill to do it, just setting up your DMARC records.
5:15 So SPF and day DKIM records, which is all done in your DNS settings. Again, just helps the global email system to understand and realise that your stuff is not spam because most of the emails flying around the internet are.
