0:00 Okay, next is phone numbers. So in settings we're now down in the phone numbers section. Phone numbers are obviously important if you want to send out any SMSs to your clients.
0:11 If you've got a number of brokers on board and you're wanting them to actually start using broker numbers that you supply, then you can create those numbers as well.
0:18 It's really important that I say to you here that is an additional cost for mobile numbers. So those costs are not coming from me, they come from the system which is a system called Twilio.
0:29 If you've heard of Twilio, they're a massive global company. They run I think most of the VoIP globally. They're like a huge, huge, huge, very complex like monolithic company.
0:39 So for Australian mobile numbers at the moment, it's about $6.80 per month per mobile number and then per landline I think it's like, I don't know, it's like a couple of bucks, two or three dollars.
0:50 But on top of that, there are also then fees and charges for inbound and outbound and SMSs as well. So no matter which VoIP provider you go to, you're going to face costs somewhat.
1:02 I'm just like, I'm just passing through those costs. I'm not taking, yeah, it's just a pass-through cost. I'm not making any money off the mobile numbers at all.
1:10 So I'll include a link to explain or to show you what the current charges are. It'll just be a link straight through to the Twilio website.
1:17 So what you need to do to actually set up a phone number, you will need to ensure that you're legally registered to create a VoIP number because Australian regulations require that all mobile numbers are registered to an individual or a company.
1:31 So basically what we need to do is submit what's called a regulatory bundle that goes through to the Twilio team and the Twilio team will look at it and go, yep, this is an actual company.
1:39 Yep, it's actually registered. Yep, the government knows who actually owns that company so yes, we're happy to supply a mobile number.
1:45 So to do that, what you need to do is to go to regulatory bundle / address and click this button here, create.
1:53 Now the first thing to do is just to be, is just to add an address bundle. This step is really really easy, all you need to do is add all the information that you've already added in the business settings part.
2:03 So the stuff that's in there, you need to make sure, you might remember I said it needs to make sure that that matches the ASIC records, and then that needs to reflect in here as well.
2:12 So friendly name, the customer name, that can be the same thing, sort of the same thing, the address line, and that's all fairly straightforward so just click save.
2:20 Now here, if you do not have or if you don't know what your ASIC registered details are, I would recommend coming to ABN, your ABN search, look up your company name, and so basically the document that you want looks like this.
2:36 So from the Australian Business Register, it'll have the ABN register, like this is all directly in ASIC. It'll say what the postal address is, what the actual business address is, this is the information that Twilio wants to see when they're approving or declining your, hopefully approving your registration.
2:51 And that registration usually takes around 24 to 48 hours, it doesn't take very long. If you don't have that document, so yeah, hopefully you should have got this when you first registered your company.
3:01 If that's been a while or you don't have it, then all you need to do is to go to the ABN Lookup, search for your company name, and then click on this little button here.
3:11 That is going to open up this page here. You'll have some of the information here, but it's not going to give you the full registered address.
3:18 So what you need to do, you're going to need to put a description for your company, and then you're going to need to document to Twilio. And just hit submit.
3:42 Once you've done that, the next thing that you need to create is the actual regulatory bundle. So, in here, we go Australia, user type is business, we're going to be wanting mobile numbers, it's going to be our preference.
3:56 Name is going to be the legal business name, so there you go. For us, it's Ausmedical, that's the legal entity.
4:04 Once we hit next, they're going to want to look at three documents that show the business name as per the commercial register, the business address as per the commercial register and the ABN.
4:15 All three of those bits of information are on the website. If you don't have this, go find it. My recommendation, like you can supply three different documents, like you know, there's a few things that you can provide, utility bills, tax notices, etc.
4:27 Honestly, this is just the easiest. Just go and download this, pay 10 bucks for it, it'll be delivered to you pretty much instantly.
4:33 Upload this to all three spaces and then hit submit. Make sure that if it asks you for, so I think somewhere here it asks you to attach the address bundle, just attach the address bundle that you've already added and that, that should be it.
4:48 So then once that's set up, you'll get an email saying yes it's all approved or you can just come back here and refresh.
4:54 Again, it should only take 24 hours or so. And you'll then be able to come back into here and create your mobile number.
5:03 So add mobile number. For this to load up. We're going to want to change to Australia. You'll have the capacity to choose a landline depending on the state that you're living in.
5:18 1-800 numbers you can also do if you want a bit if you want to you know if you've got a 1-800 number and here are the mobile numbers.
5:24 So $6.83 is what it's costing at the moment. And that's pretty much it for actually creating the mobile number. That mobile number will be created and made active immediately which is super helpful so once you've selected whichever number looks the nicest out of all the ones that you can see you're then
5:42 able that will then become your default number so you can see here we've got a default number in our system and that is the default number that will automatically start sending SMSs once you set up all of your appointment confirmations.
5:52 And like any other SMS campaign you want to create it'll start sending from that default number and I'll get deeper into phone numbers a little bit later on I might have actually have an entire section dedicated to yeah to phone numbers but this you can then take this number and go back into my profile.
6:07 You might remember doing this a couple of steps ago you can now add add that mobile number. Can we do it here maybe we need to do it in my staff into my staff can now come into call and voicemail settings and add that number as your you can read so this is just renamed but you can now add that that number.
6:29 As your number so when someone calls that number it's going to call you via the mobile app or the. I'm actually for me that needs to be unticked but I'll do that later so for us I'll actually include something here about the mobile app you can download the mobile app the mobile app will start calling.
6:44 And or will start ringing and that's your VoIP completely completely set up.
